Summerfest Announces First Performance at American Family Insurance Amphitheater in 2025

The weather may be starting to cool down in Milwaukee, but Summerfest is already looking ahead to 2025. On Monday morning, we learned one of the first artists to take the festival stage at next year’s Big Gig.

Country superstar Lainey Wilson will perform at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater this year, marking the first major announcement of the festival’s 2025 lineup. She will open the festival’s second weekend, playing on Thursday, June 26.

Wilson is currently on a roll this year following the release of her fourth album, “Whirlwind,” last August. 2023’s “Bell Bottom Country” took home the GRAMMY for Best Country Album, in addition to winning five CMA Awards and four ACAs, including the association’s Female Artist of the Year and CMA Entertainer of the Year categories.

In addition to her June 26 stop at Summerfest, she already has a visit to Cadott, WI, on June 27 planned as part of the Hoofbeat country festival. Summerfest is just Wilson’s fourth U.S. concert announcement in 2025 so far.

Tickets for Lainey Wilson go on sale starting Friday via Ticketmaster, with pre-sales beginning Tuesday for Citi cardholders. Summerfest and platinum pre-sale opportunities will also take place on Thursday and Friday via Ticketmaster.

Summerfest will return for three weekends in 2025, running Thursday through Saturday, June 19-21, June 26-28 and July 3-5 next year. Read more about it here.
