Timothée Chalamet shocks fans when he appears at his own look-alike competition

The actor Timothée Chalamet has shocked fans by appearing at his own look-alike competition in New York on Sunday.

The event was advertised on flyers throughout the city and was organized by YouTuber Anthony Po, who has held several look-alike contests in the past. On the flyer he promised $50 to the winner.

On the day, participants were asked questions about Kylie Jenner, who is said it was dating the Call me by your name actor, and they were tested on their French language skills, as Chalamet is both American and French. They were also asked how they would make the world a better place.

No one could have expected that Chalamet would show up during the event, which he did with bodyguards in tow. The magazine Variety said Chalamet pushed his way through the crowd wearing a mask and baseball hat. After revealing himself, he posed for photos with fans and some of his doppelgängers – and netizens had a great day.

Newsweek emailed a Chalamet spokesperson for comment outside normal business hours on Monday.

Four individuals were taken into custody and subsequently released with a citation. “

The British newspaper The Guardian said the event’s organizers were also fined $500 for holding an “unauthorized costume contest.” At least one participant was led away in handcuffs as the crowd shouted, “Let him go!”

“It started as a stupid joke and now it’s become pandemonium,” said Paige Nguyen, producer for the YouTube creator.

On that day, the public chose 21-year-old Miles Mitchell, who was dressed in a purple Willy Wonka outfit, as the winner.

“I’m excited and also overwhelmed,” Mitchell told The Associated Press. “There were so many good look-alikes. It was really a toss-up.”

The publication also spoke with Lauren Klas, a fan of the Dune actor, on what made a good Chalamet lookalike. ‘It’s all in the nose. Basically the entire bone structure,” she said.
