The latest member of BTS finally announces his first solo album

Over the more than a decade in which BTS has been ranked among the biggest musical artists in the world, six of the seven members have pursued solo careers. Half a dozen singers have delivered at least one complete collection on their own. Some have released multiple full-length albums, and some have bounced between mixtapes and proper albums.

One of BTS’ seven members, Jin, has never shared a full album on his own, but that will soon change. The global superstar is finally about to embark on a complete era without his bandmates, years after many of his friends did the same.

Jin’s debut solo album will be titled Happy. Fans of the BTS star will only have to wait about a month before streaming and purchasing the set, as it’s set for release on November 15th.

Happy it’s really an EP, based on its length. An announcement for the project shared by Jin’s representatives reveals that the project will feature just six tracks.

According to the statement, Happy has a simple mission: “explore Jin’s journey to discover true happiness.” Over the course of the six songs, Jin reportedly “reveals his honest thoughts and feelings about what happiness means to him, in hopes that those who listen to the album will also find joy.”

Although he has never released an album himself, Jin has released the occasional song here and there. He recently re-released his single “Super Tuna” a few days ago, sharing an extended version of the version, which was originally released years earlier. The track ended up climbing the iTunes rankings and spent days living in the top 10 on the list of best-selling tracks in America on the platform.

Jin reached the Hot 100 once as a soloist. In 2022, he sent his own single “The Astronaut” to #51 on the charts. billboard list of most consumed tracks in the US This version is still an independent release, although it may end up being presented in Happy.

Since “The Astronaut,” Jin has remained fairly quiet musically. He was busy with his military duties, which all men in South Korea must fulfill until a certain age. Currently, he is the only BTS vocalist who has completed work in this area, which frees him to continue to push the band’s music, and now, his own.
