Strictly’s Shayne Ward shows true colors after landing tense dance | Celebrity News | Showbiz and TV

Shayne Ward was “shocked” to discover he was in the bottom two on Strictly Come Dancing, a body language expert claims.

The former Coronation Street actor, 39, received the fewest votes alongside Nick Knowles, with the pair forced to fight for their place in the BBC competition during Sunday night’s results show (October 13).

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren Stanton stated that Shayne and his partner Nancy Xu were not expecting to take part in the ball, however, they were “very humble” in their response to discovering that they were already past the fifth week.

Analyzing their body language, he said: “Shayne and Nancy were shocked to be at the ball, which was very unexpected for them. What strikes me about this couple is that they are incredibly humble.

“Right after it was announced that they were submitted this week, Nancy touches her heart, which is something people do unconsciously when they have an outpouring of emotion. Some people fake it, but here it’s genuine and authentic.”

Darren continued: “She is genuinely happy and grateful to have come through this. She follows with a bow, which is a gesture of submission, a sign of recognition of power and position.

“She is genuinely grateful to have gone through this, and we see a similar gesture from Shayne, it really touches her heart. They’re very tactile and comfortable, which is why I thought it was strange for them to be in the bottom two.”

On Saturday night (October 12), Shayne and Nancy sang Cha Cha to Ain’t No Love (Ain’t No Use) by Sub Sub. The pair finished fourth on the leaderboard with 30 points, making their position at the ball even more surprising.

Reacting to the result, Shayne told host Tess Daly: “I feel good, that’s what happens on this show, no one is really safe.” After the results were shown, Shayne shared a message with his followers, reminding them how important it is to vote.

The X Factor winner wrote on his Instagram Story: “I would like to thank everyone who voted for me and Nancy.

“Thanks to the judges I can dance for another week with the most incredible teacher, dancer and now friend, Nancy.”

The father-of-two added: “It’s a gentle reminder that no one is truly safe and every vote counts. I hope to continue dancing for all of you. spend time with the two of you Nick, you are a gentleman, you are amazing.
