Report: Chris Bey required surgery after suffering an injury while taping TNA TV

Bey was injured Sunday during TNA TV tapings at Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit. The nature of his injury and how it occurred is unclear, but he was put in a neck brace and stretched across the court after ABC’s match against The Hardys.

According to a report from Fighting selectionBey was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery to treat the injury. He is said to be recovering from surgery, but further details are unknown.

Bey has been with TNA since 2018. He is a former X-Division Champion and has won the TNA World Tag Team Championships three times alongside his partner Ace Austin. On Saturday, he and Austin wrestled Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers and Matt & Jeff Hardy of The System in a Full Metal Mayhem match at TNA Bound for Glory. The Hardys won the match and the TNA tag team titles for the third time.
