SCP-inspired PvP tactical first-person shooter Active Matter announced for PS5, Xbox Series and PC

Publisher Gaijin entertainment and developer Team issue to have announced Active matteran SCP-inspired player-versus-player tactic first-person shooter for PlayStation 5, Xbox seriesAnd PC (Steam). A release date was not announced. Registration for an upcoming closed beta test registration is now available via the official website.

About

You’re a cop stuck in a time loop, always brought back from the dead to the same point. Choose your equipment and enter quantum unstable zones rich in active matter: the most valuable and dangerous resource in the entire multiverse. Fight rivals from other timelines, survive physics anomalies and try to stay alive. Harvest active matter, collect loot and extract to a safe place before the entire zone ceases to exist with everything in it.

Active matter changes things and bends space and time, allowing you to encounter agents and other survivors who lost their minds and humanity after exposure to this substance. However, other players would always be your most dangerous enemy. Expand your syndicate base, upgrade your arsenal and engage in fierce battles between syndicates over the main sources of active matter, as this is your only chance to escape the circle and take control of your destiny.

Main features

• Player-versus-player-versus-environment Extraction-style raids – Players go solo or in small squads within the quantum unstable zones on their quest for active matter and other loot. Active matter can be harvested by killing AM-transformed creatures, taken from other players, or picked up directly from clusters of active matter. Join this endless hunt to increase your chances of finding the way out of the time loop.
• Realistic weapons and equipment – Active matter randomly brings things from other timelines into the quantum unstable zones and allows you to replicate a specific item from other timelines in the safety of your base. Despite the mysterious origins of your weapons, your arsenal is always rooted in real military technologies and tactics, as war seems to be the only constant in this chaotic multiverse.
• Gameplay-affecting active matter effects – Baffling anomalies that change gravity and space topology right before your eyes. Exciting encounters with terrifying SCP-inspired objects will send shivers down your spine, and creatures transformed by active matter will immediately attack you.
• Intense player-versus-player battles – Syndicates of agents fight for control of a passive source of active matter, using whatever weapons and other equipment they can carry into battle or craft on site. Engage in player-versus-player battles that you enjoy and make a real impact on the fate of the multiverse!
• Fascinating cards – Battles take place in locations beyond the boundaries of space and time. Active Matter features a variety of maps, including a huge island with rusty Soviet industrial complexes and cryptic science labs that were among the first to study this new phenomenon. Explore these places to find hints about the origins of active matter.
