Pensacola residents and visitors are getting ready to welcome the Blue Angels

PENSACOLA, FL. (WALA) – NAS Pensacola is gearing up to host the Blue Angels Homecoming Air Show this weekend.

Events will be taking place throughout the week. That’s right! This is something we look forward to every year.

The two-day show attracts almost 200 thousand people every year.

And that includes a couple visiting from Indiana. They saw the show a year ago

“It was one of the most amazing experiences we’ve ever had. It affected us both. It’s so beautiful and their synchronization, and just everything they do. It’s just beautiful,” Abbee Muta

“It was something different when we went to the show last year. We were like a sacred cow. Those are some phenomenal athletes, I can tell you that,” said Harry Muta.

The events begin Wednesday when the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds team up for a flight demonstration.

The ‘Super Delta’ departs on Wednesday at 11.30 am

They are also hosting a STEM day on Thursday before the big homecoming on Friday and Saturday.

And it is highly recommended.

“We told them you should go to the Blue Angels. It’s the best we’ve ever seen. So we are telling everyone,” said Abbee Muta.

“If they had a chance to see the Blue Angels and they don’t, that’s a mistake,” Harry Muta said.

This weekend’s event is free and open to the public. The gates open at 8am
