Kunal Kamra criticizes Ola again, seeks intervention from Nitin Gadkari: ‘Plot of Indian customers, their voices are not heard’

Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra has once again called out Ola and requested Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to intervene on issues faced by Indian customers due to Ola’s electric scooter.

“Minister @nitin_gadkari please look at the plight of Indian customers, their voice is not heard. They can’t get to work. They are taking bad loans to solve a problem that is primarily Ola’s responsibility… When will government agencies intervene?” Kamra wrote on X.

Kamra shared a video of an X user and his message. The video is from Ranjnagar, Solapur, Maharashtra, and shows an Ola facility. The message claims that there are no qualified professionals on the site. The video was shared with the caption:

“ALERT! @OlaElectrical @bhash @kunalkamra88 @nitin_gadkari @narendramodi shocking experience at Rangraj Nagar, Solapur. All scooters in poor condition! No qualified engineers/technicians on site. Customers invest hard-earned money. Unacceptable (SIC).

Kamra’s latest post adds to the heated argument between the comedian and Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal. The problem started when Kamra pointed out the condition of electric scooters outside an Ola showroom. Bhavish Aggarwal asked Kamra to help if he was worried or kept quiet. Seeing the Ola CEO’s response to Kamra, social media users called Aggarwal ‘rude’ and ‘arrogant’.

Social media users respond

Several X users have expressed their concerns following Kamra’s post and have asked the government to intervene.

“This is a matter of great concern and an indication of brazen corporate arrogance towards the plight of Indian consumers. Isn’t it the government’s responsibility to protect normal Indians from scams? Protection against substandard products and services? Who watches the watchman?” wrote one user.

“It is disheartening to see so many Indian customers struggling to meet their basic transportation needs. @nitin_gadkari. Their challenges are real: many are forced to bear financial burdens and even take out high-interest loans due to issues that need to be managed by service providers like Ola. When can we expect government agencies to intervene and be held accountable? Our people need support, and their voices deserve to be heard,” wrote another user.

One of the users shared his own experience with the Solapur Ola facility.

“I am from Solapur and I have seen this first hand… The way consumers are being treated is the worst I have ever seen especially after paying the full amount for Ola Electric,” the user wrote.
