Delhi man stabbed to death after advising cyclists to drive safely – India News

A 22-year-old man was killed while his brother was injured after he was allegedly stabbed by three men on motorcycles in northeast Delhi’s Harsh Vihar area, police said on Monday.

The incident occurred on Saturday when the brothers advised motorcyclists to drive safely. Police arrested a suspect, identified as Vikas, 22, and recovered the motorcycle used in the crime. The deceased was identified as Ankur, a resident of Pratap Nagar, who was returning home from a Dussehra fair with his brother, Himanshu.

According to initial investigation, Ankur and Himanshu advised a motorcyclist who was carrying two pillion passengers to drive safely on Saboli road, a senior police officer said. In response, the three men dismounted and began attacking the brothers. One of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed Ankur and Himanshu.

Himanshu, who suffered stab injuries on his neck and thigh, managed to transport Ankur to a nearby hospital in an e-rickshaw, where doctors declared him dead.

“The deceased suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest, stomach and thigh. We have arrested one of the accused and the remaining two are still at large,” the officer said, adding that Ankur’s body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem examination.

CCTV footage of the incident went viral on social media, showing the three men attacking the brothers in broad daylight. The footage also captures a bystander trying to stop one of the attackers as they fled the scene. “We demand strict action against the accused,” said Ankur’s father Krishan Pal.
