Eleven Gulf Coast Restaurant & Bar offers Cajun-inspired cuisine and nightlife

GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) – If you like good atmosphere, music, food and drinks then this is for you.

Monday afternoon, Eleven Gulf Coast Restaurant and Bar held a ribbon cutting ceremony officially opening the business.

Located at 11 Pass Road, Eleven is a local restaurant and bar serving Cajun-inspired cuisine, including brunch and a specialty drinks menu, with indoor and outdoor seating.

Co-owner Sidney Brown says the concept came from traveling with friends and wanting to bring back experiences from their travels to South Mississippi.

‘Well, we had nothing to do on the Coast. You know, we didn’t have anything fun,” Brown said. “Where you can come out and watch the game. Somewhere to hang out late at night that was safe. You know good food, great atmosphere. We see it in big cities, but we didn’t have that. We wanted to bring that to this area.”

The food is what owner Jeremiah Morman says really makes Eleven stand out.

“Food here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is one of the things we are known for and I think that’s what makes the coast special,” Morman said. “So when people come to Eleven, we want them to be able to get quality food. Our menu includes our starter menu, our brunch menu, our seafood menu and our traditional bar menu.”

Morman says it took about six months from the idea stage to the ribbon cutting. He says it’s a good time to start a business on the Coast because of the booming economy.

However, he says Eleven is more than a restaurant and bar. They are here for community involvement.

“Outside of our normal business operations, we were also very involved in the community,” Morman said. “This weekend we are sponsoring a suitcase or treat for children. We also have financial literacy meetings that are open to the public and just provide information and support to the community so people can build themselves up better. That is why we also want to be a beacon of light for our community.”

If you can’t make it to the restaurant, you can order online through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub.

Elf is open for lunch Monday through Saturday from 11am to 3pm for lunch for those 21 and over, and dinner from 5pm to 2am, with Saturday nightlife for those 25 and over from 10pm to 2am.

Sunday brunch is from 11am to 3am and the day party starts at 5pm
