AngryGinge responds after being ‘shocked’ to hear about Yung Filly’s arrest – Crime

Twitch streamer and internet personality AngryGinge has spoken out following the arrest and charge of his friend Yung Filly while he was on tour in Australia.

Real name Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, Yung Fully was arrested by police in Melbourne earlier this month following allegations made about him by a woman in Perth who claims he raped her.

Barrientos, 29, who played for England in Help for Football, was subsequently charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. He was also charged with another count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to the neck.

No indication of a confession has been given at this stage by the YouTuber, with bail granted by the Australian courts.

Reacting to the news in a Twitch video live stream, AngryGinge told more than 11,000 viewers his honest thoughts.

AngryGinge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, teamed up with Yung Filly earlier this year to form Girth N Turf FC; a Pro Clubs team in EA FC 24.

Famous faces joined them to play, including Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney, darts sensation Luke Littler and British rapper Aitch. With over 110,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter), he has gained a large online following.

Reacting to Barrientos’ arrest, AngryGinge told viewers: “I’m not going to pretend nothing happened. I will be open and honest as always.

“Four o’clock in the morning I’m lying in bed, I see what’s happening on Twitter. First of all, I’m exactly like you. I’m shocked. Um, yes. You know, mental. Mental.

“But now he’s obviously involved in lawsuits and I can’t comment on lawsuits. You know how it is. Crazy.”

The Twitch streamer continued, “I don’t know anything else. I know exactly the same as you. Please don’t think I do. It is what it is and we have to wait for the final verdict.”

“You will all have your own opinions and that’s fine, but the next big question: GNT (Girth N Turf FC).

“If you want an honest answer, I don’t know if that’s the future at the moment. We’ll see what we can do, but at the moment, I don’t know. Everyone at GNT is in exactly the same boat as you. We only know what you know.

Barrientos is said to have sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman in his hotel room on September 28 after performing at a venue in Hillarys, a coastal suburb of Perth.

During the court hearing, Barrientos was granted bail with strict conditions and a personal undertaking of AU$100,000 (£52,000), along with a surety bond of AU$100,000 (£52,000).

The case was listed in Perth Magistrates Court on December 19 at 9.30am for a committal mention.

This comes after Yung Filly’s other close friend and business partner, Chunkz, took to Instagram to comment on the case for the first time.

Chunkz stressed that he cannot say much due to the legal process, which he will let run its course before issuing a public opinion.
