The final days for early voting in Louisiana are approaching

OUACHITA PARISH, La. (KNOE) – The last day for early voting in Louisiana is Thursday, October 29.

The Ouachita Parish Registrar of Voters Office says early voting turnout has increased since the last presidential election in 2020.

Ouachita Parish Registrar of Voters Isabelle Butler says voters should be aware of voting options and deadlines. She says voters should remember that only disabled people and military officials can receive a ballot via email.

“We have in-person early voting and absentee voting by mail, which are completely different. The dates and times for this do not coincide. So far the turnout has been really great for us personally. A lot of people came to us to cast their votes.”
