US Postal Service Announces Deadlines for Holiday Shipping

(CNN) – Holiday planners, here’s what you need to know if you’re using the U.S. Postal Service to send packages by Christmas Day in the contiguous United States.

The Postal Service recommends that packages be sent by December 21st using Priority Mail Express, which is faster and usually costs more.

Less expensive options, such as first class mail and ground service, must be shipped by December 18th. First class mail must be sent by December 18th and the cutoff for ground service is December 16th.
