Jax Taylor ‘very shocked’ to have rekindled friendship with Tom Sandoval

Vanderpump Rules Stars Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss had an affair behind Ariana Madix’s back. As soon as the case was exposed, many people spoke out. And that included VPR alumnus Jax Taylor and his wife, Brittany Cartwright. Scandoval resurrected her reality TV career and eventually the pair joined the cast of The Valley. However, Jax continued to attack his former friend, Sandoval.

Jax Taylor Didn’t Expect to Repair His Friendship with Tom Sandoval

Jax has been through a lot in his personal life. Following his split from Brittany, he checked himself into a rehab facility for his mental health in July 2024. Once he left the facility, Jax shared that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. “I was put on some serious medication that is helping me a lot,” he explained. It’s wonderful news that Jax’s medication is helping him.

Meanwhile, Brittany filed for divorce. After making some mistakes in his legal documents, Jax hired Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin Federline’s lawyer. Initially, Jax wrote that he wanted Brittany to have full custody of their son, Cruz. But now his lawyer is helping him seek joint custody of Cruz.

Even though Sandoval and Jax’s relationship fell apart during Pump Rules season 8, Jax filmed with Sandoval for the show’s 11th season. “I had a very, very good conversation with him. What he went through was life changing,” Jax previously said. “We had a really good conversation.”

During a recent episode of his podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, Jax opened up about the status of his friendship with Sandoval. “Now I probably talk to Tom three to four times a week. He comes to the bar, sings karaoke, you know, he’s on tour right now, but I just hung out with him and his mom and dad,” Jax explained. “And it was great to see them.” As you may recall, Sandoval fronts his cover band, Tom Sandoval and The Most Extras.

“I love Tom and I will always love him no matter what he does,” Jax said. “He’s my best friend.” I have a sneaking suspicion we’ll see Sandoval filming a bit for The Valley, like Scheana Shay and Lala Kent.
