Foodies and friends at Phat Eatery in The Woodlands

Phat Eatery opened its second location in The Woodlands, Grogan’s Mill Village Center at 2290 Buckthorne Place, just a few months ago, but it’s already receiving rave reviews from the community.

Katie Stone visits with chef Marvin He and Kevin Lee about this Malaysian-inspired Southeast Asian cuisine and how dishes from the original Katy restaurant are being received and what new items are on the menu. A favorite that will remain constant at both restaurants is the Roti Canai – Indian flatbread served with curry sauce.

Influenced by tropical fruits, Phat Eatery also offers a range of mocktails from the bar.

The restaurant is involved in the community and an event taking place this week is the HEB Market Street Wine Walk. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Food and Vine Time’s Constance McDerby explains that the event shares some featured wines and we have a sneak peek at the food tasting that Phat Eatery will feature. (It’s an off-menu item!)

More information about the Market Street Wine Walk and how to purchase tickets is available here

The Cleverley Stone Foundation was created by Cleverley’s daughter, Katie Stone, to continue her mother’s mission and legacy of supporting Houston Restaurant Weeks benefiting the Houston Food Bank, which runs from August 1 through Labor Day each year . Together, Houstonians and Houston restaurant owners have raised more than $18 million over the past 20 years to support the Houston Food Bank and our community’s hunger needs.

Houston Restaurant Weeks and its sister event Eat Drink HTX is the largest annual fundraiser for the nation’s largest food bank. The Houston Food Bank serves an 18-county area in Southeast Texas
