Dredging

Don’t be fooled by this Dredging innocent-looking graphics. Beneath the low-poly art style lies a slow-burning story Lovecraftian-inspired horror. You play as a fisherman, who is forced to explore the surrounding bay in a rickety tugboat after capsizing on an island. During the day, Dredging is largely an exploration game involving solving puzzles, completing quests, and fishing. Take advantage of it when you can. Your priority next night will be surviving eldritch creatures and other monsters.

Developed by Black Salt Games, Dredging delivers on its horror adventure promise in about 12 to 16 hours. That may seem short, but you will discover five islands with unique tasks and secrets. More importantly, the game offers a degree of flexibility. Avoid the darkness if you’re looking for lower-level fears, or run into it for full-throttle madness.
