Hisense Announces Dual Carbon Commitment at ESG Global Leaders Conference

QINGDAO, China, October 17, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — The president of Hisense Group, Mr. Jia Shaoqian announced the company’s new Double Carbon Commitment yesterday and outlined Hisense’s latest initiatives to make Green Development a vital pillar in “Building a Century-old Hisense” at the 2024 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Global Leaders Conference in Shanghai.

Hisense’s Double Carbon Commitment will see the company achieve Peak Owned Operations Carbon by 2026, and Owned Operations Carbon Neutrality by 2050, while integrating low-carbon concepts into all aspects of corporate governance and the company’s operational practices.

Introducing its first White Paper on Carbon Neutrality, Hisense’s “Hi GREEN” Carbon Neutrality Action Plan will focus on three key areas to support the company’s low-carbon transition strategy in maximizing energy efficiency improvements; accelerate the development of a low-carbon supply chain; and drive the iteration and optimization of low-carbon products and services.
