A man in his 20s has died after a “medical incident” at the University of East Anglia gym.

Norfolk Police said emergency services were called to the university’s Sportspark premises shortly after 7pm on Wednesday.

The incident involved a man using exercise equipment.

He was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.

Police are treating the death as unexplained and said the gym remains closed while investigations continue.
