Prince Harry praised for impressive surfing skills caught on camera

Prince Harry was filmed surfing and his surfboard skills impressed fans online.

The Duke of Sussex looked natural while at the Kelly Slater Wave Company in California.

Raimana Van Bastolaer, who helped Harry master his new hobby, posted images on Instagram of the royal catching a wave.

Bastolaer captioned the video: “In Tahiti, we still call you Prince Harry, but on the surfranch, you’re my brother. It was an honor to have you surf with me and @kellyslater @michaelanders_ at @kswaveco.”

One fan commented: “Prince Harry, you have always been my favorite royal guy, but now you have stolen my heart forever.

In your memories, SaveHarry spoke about his love of sport, writing that when he was a teenager at Eton boarding school, he preferred sports played on land.

He wrote: “Sport, I decided, would be my thing at Eton. The sporty kids were separated into two groups: dry bobs and wet bobs.

“The dry bobs played cricket, football, rugby or polo. The wet bobs rowed, sailed or swam. I was a dry one who occasionally got wet.

“I played all dry sports, although rugby won my heart. Beautiful game, as well as a good excuse to encounter very difficult things. Rugby allowed me to quench my anger, which some have now taken to calling ‘red fog’ ‘.”

It has long been debated how much Harry has embraced his new lifestyle in the US and whether he secretly longs for Britain.

The prince himself has said that Britain will always play an important role in his life, while also suggesting that California is now his home.

The fact that Harry now has a new love – and an impressive skill – in a very Californian hobby will no doubt be interpreted as a sign that he is enjoying his life in the States.

In April 2022, the prince told Hoda Kotb in an interview for Today: “Home for me now is, you know, for now, it’s in the United States, and it’s like that too.

“We were welcomed with open arms and have an incredible community in Santa Barbara.”
