Jeremy Renner sells LA home where he recovered from snowplow accident for .4 million

Jeremy Renner officially leaving his Los Angeles home where he was recovering life-threatening snow plow accident in 2023.

After first listing the 9,000-square-foot property for $12.9 million in August, the 53-year-old actor officially sold the home for $12.4 million on Thursday, Oct. 25, according to property records.

Renner bought the house in 2012 for $4 million and spent nearly $5.5 million on renovations, according to the report. Wall Street Journal. It is also the house where he raised his 11-year-old daughter, Ava.

After the sale of the property, Renner wrote a moving message Instagram caption about saying goodbye to the house next to a photo of his daughter when she was younger.

“When Dad sells your childhood home… it’s always scary to forge new paths and make new memories together, but when the deep love we share is our foundation, we can get through any place with grace,” he wrote. “My blessing and gratitude to share our home with family and friends.”

Located in the Nichols Canyon neighborhood of Los Angeles, the mid-century modern property features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Renner was originally drawn to the home’s unique architecture and the close-knit neighborhood in which it was located WJ.

“You don’t normally get a lot of charity in Los Angeles,” he told the outlet. “This was a beautiful little micro-community.”

Despite the actor designing the property as his ‘forever home’, he said it was time to downsize and ‘focus on his recovery’ after the accident.

It was later revealed that the accident occurred while he was there helping a family member get a “stuck” vehicle from the estimated 3 meters of snowfall the night before.

The impressive property also features a long gated driveway, a home cinema and a detached guesthouse and recording studio, according to the mentionwhich was owned by Branden Williams and Rayni Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates.

In the master suite you will find luxuries including double closets and a spa-like bathroom. The space also features walls of glass that open onto the wraparound deck with stunning canyon views.

Outside, the resort-style pool is surrounded by multiple lounge areas and offers a unique waterfall and bridge feature. There is also an indoor and outdoor bar next to the outdoor dining area, making it the perfect place to entertain guests.
