A contract worth Rs 25 lakh was issued to murder actor Salman Khan near his farmhouse in Panvel, Maharashtra, according to a chargesheet filed by the Navi Mumbai Police. The indictment, which names five individuals, revealed that the contract was orchestrated by the gang led by arrested gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

According to NDTV, the accused planned to acquire advanced weapons including Pakistani AK-47, AK-92, M-16 and Turkish-made Zigana pistol, similar to the one used in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

The suspects recruited boys below the age of 18 for the job, who are currently hiding in Pune, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Gujarat.

Around 60 to 70 people monitored actor Sikandar’s movements, mainly at his residence in Bandra, Panvel Farm and Goregaon Film City, according to the charge sheet. The plot to murder the actor was hatched between August 2023 and April 2024.

Previously, theThe investigation found that Sukkha, arrested in Panipat, Haryanaon October 17, it assigned the assassination task to Ajay Kashyap alias AK and four other conspirators.

Kashyap and his team conducted reconnaissance and determined that due to the actor’s tight security and the use of bulletproof vehicles, advanced weaponry would be required to execute the plan.

Sukkha contacted Pakistan-based arms dealer Dogar via video call, during which Dogar displayed an AK-47 and other firearms wrapped in a shawl while negotiating the deal.

Dogar agreed to supply the weapons and Sukkha undertook to pay 50% in advance, the balance being settled upon delivery to India.

The indictment describes a plan by the gunmen to regroup in Kanyakumari after murdering the actor, from where they intended to flee to Sri Lanka by boat and then head to a country beyond the reach of Indian investigative agencies.

The plot to attack Salman Khan at his farmhouse in Panvel came to light during the investigation into the shooting outside his residence in Bandra.
