Their son was not injured, Mendel Corgan said.

“Our family is grateful for the quick assistance of Highland Park and Deerfield first responders,” she said.

Madame Zuzu’s is closed until further notice. Mendel Corgan said the crash is under investigation.

Video from the scene showed a small car halfway across the business, with the windshield almost completely gone.

Police said both the driver of the vehicle and Mendel Corgan’s mother were transported for treatment, but did not release their conditions. They said a preliminary investigation shows it was an accident.

There was no further information, police said.
