Kaytranada announces 2025 Australian tour

Kaytranada has announced his first headlining tour of Australia since 2016, which will take place over four shows in January 2025. The run comes as part of an Oceanic extension of his world tour, in support of his recently released third solo album Timeless. The full list of dates, as well as advance and ticket sales information, can be found below.

Joining the critically acclaimed Juno Award-winning producer and DJ on the Australian leg of the Timeless tour as key support will be Canal Tres. Fresh off the release of his debut solo album Head hurry earlier this year, the Compton hip-house artist was featured on two songs Timeless: ‘Drip Sweat’ and ‘Stuntin’. He last performed in Australia during the 2023/24 New Year period, playing in both sets that year Beyond the valley And that year Paradise lost.

Also joins the Timeless tour for all dates except Melbourne are Kaytranada’s brother Lou Phelps – a rapper himself – and Brooklyn-based DJ Kitty Ca$h. It will be the first time that both opening acts have toured Australia.

Kaytranada first toured Australia in August 2013, following the unexpected viral success of his remix of Janet Jackson‘If’. Less than a year later, he returned to perform at the 2014 Future music festivaland again during the New Year period 2014/2015 to perform in Beyond The Valley, Origin NYE And Field day. His first (and previously only) headlining tour took place in October 2016, after the release of his debut album 99.9%. Just over a year later he was back for another series of NYE festivals, including a return to Origin NYE and a performance at FOMO 2018 – for which he would return again in 2020. His most recent run took place again over the New Year period – this time in 2022 and 2023, where he debuted bee Wildlands and returned to Beyond the valley And Field day.

A pre-sale for the tour will run from Wednesday 6 November at 1pm AEDT and can be registered here. General sales for the tour will follow on Thursday, November 7 – again at 1pm AEDT – via the tour’s official promoter, Untitled Group, at their website.
