Kenyans react as trailer carrying new vehicles crashes into Mai Mahiu: “Who’s to blame?”

  • Many people were concerned to learn that a trailer carrying new vehicles had an accident and several cars were damaged in the process.
  • Many Kenyans who saw the post on the Sikika Road Safety group were concerned about the condition of the cars
  • Others wanted to know about the fate of the driver, companion, pedestrians and drivers on the road; they were happy to learn that none of them had died

Kenyans have expressed concern after learning that a trailer carrying several cars was involved in a horrific accident in Mai Mahiu.

Several photos of the accident shared by Sikika Road Safety on Facebook show the huge trailer lying upside down, with some cars on the ground and others still in the back of the huge vehicle. While some cars were damaged, others remained in their original condition.

How are the pilot and navigator after the Mai-Mahiu accident?

Some Kenyans who heard about the accident wondered whether the cars were insured and whether the owners would be compensated or suffer losses.

Others also wanted to know if the driver and his shift were okay. Some people also shared their experiences on Mai Mahiu Road.

“A trailer used to transport vehicles crashed at corner C of Mai Mahiu Road. Please confirm your car was there,” wrote Sikika Road Safety.

The driver and co-pilot are fine.

“As long as the occupants, pedestrians and other motorists are safe, we thank God. The cars are safe,” said Israel Nambo. TUKO.co.ke.

18 people killed along Narok-Mai Mahiu road

In another story, an accident involving a private car and two matatus along the Narok-Mai Mahiu highway left at least 18 injured.

The injured were taken to Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment, while the vehicles were towed to a police station.
