How are the pilot and navigator after the Mai-Mahiu accident?

Others also wanted to know if the driver and his shift were okay. Some people also shared their experiences on Mai Mahiu Road.

The driver and co-pilot are fine.

Will the owners of the new cars suffer any losses?

According to Titus Waweru, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Autoguard Insurance Agency, vehicles in transit are covered by Goods in Transit Insurance or Carrier’s Civil Liability Insurance.

“In the case of Goods in Transit Insurance, the policy provides coverage for loss or damage to various types of goods during transit by road, rail or any inland waterway within the geographical area defined in the policy,” he said. TUKO.co.ke.

Goods in Transit Insurance applies when the transporter is the owner of the goods.

How does Carrier Liability Insurance help?

The policy covers the insured against legal liability for accidental loss or damage to property in the insured’s custody or control during transportation by road, rail or other specified means.

“Transporters’ Civil Liability Insurance is taken out by transporters who transport other people’s goods. The insured (person who takes out the insurance) is obliged to declare any size and estimated annual size”, he said.
