Picnic Announces Plans to Expand Taco Restaurant, Including New Location in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) – A Tucker County restaurant known for its tacos has announced expansion plans, including a new location in Charleston.

Picnic in Thomas announced that “a fleet of mobile and brick-and-mortar trucks” is coming to the Mountain State after the restaurant spent four years crafting its menu and developing a loyal following.

The move will close the Picnic location in Tucker County, with Saturday being its last day of operation.

“We are wholeheartedly announcing that Picnic is moving to the Charleston, West Virginia area,” a social media post said. “We are joining forces with amazing people and this new partnership will allow us to expand throughout our beloved state of West Virginia.”

The post thanked the Thomas community for the years of support that began with a humble takeout window.
