No one was injured after a home in the Wyandotte neighborhood caught fire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A two-story home caught fire in south Louisville on Friday.

Louisville Fire Department crews were called around 4:30 a.m. to a home on Denmark Street, between Bellevue Avenue and South 5th Street.

LFD firefighters arrived at the heavy fire from the second floor.

According to a statement, 25 firefighters were able to control the fire within 15 minutes due to a quick internal attack.

There were no reports of injuries and no one was inside the home.

The Louisville Metro Arson Unit is investigating to determine what caused the fire to start.

About five hours later, LFD units were dispatched to the downtown Econo Lodge for a fire contained in a room.
