Feces on grave leads to vandalism arrest: report

YOUNGSTOWN, OH (WKBN) – A woman accused of vandalizing a grave at a cemetery on Belmont Avenue has been taken into custody.

Antasia McMeans, 25, is in the Mahoning County Jail on a charge of vandalism, a fifth-degree felony. She is expected to appear in municipal court on Friday.

McMeans is accused of vandalizing a man’s grave July 16 at a cemetery on Belmont Ave. 2200. An arrest warrant was issued for her on October 7. She was taken into custody by Canfield police on Wednesday and turned over to city police.

According to a report, police were called to the cemetery around 12:30 a.m. on July 16 by a woman who said she had received a message from McMeans that she was at the grave of the woman’s father and had damaged it.

When the woman arrived, she found human feces on the grave, reports said.

The woman told police she also received a video from McMeans the day before that showed McMeans spitting on the grave.

The woman told police that McMeans is in a dispute with a family member of hers and that other family members have reported her harassment.
