MANDEVILLE, Jamaica – A man is facing charges of burglary and theft after allegedly breaking into a man’s home and making off with electronic devices worth about J$150,000.

55-year-old Colin Thomas is charged.

According to reports from Mandeville Police, a homeowner secured his property around 6:30 a.m. before leaving. However, upon his return, the owner allegedly caught Thomas leaving the house with items wrapped in a sheet. He raised the alarm but Thomas reportedly managed to escape with the items, including electronic appliances, accessories and household items worth J$147,500.

Thomas was subsequently arrested and charged after being positively identified by the victim.

His court hearing is wrapping up.
