Jay Cutler Allegedly Offered Car Accident Driver $2K Not to Call the Police

New allegations surrounding Jay CutlerThe DUI arrest came to light.

The NFL star was charged with first-offense drunk driving — as well as carrying a weapon under the influence, failure to care and violating the implied consent law — on Oct. 17 in Franklin, Tennessee, following a minor traffic collision between two cars, according to authorities.

A police statement obtained by E! News reports from Oct. 17 indicate that the driver of Jay’s allegedly rear-ended white Ram vehicle told responding officers that the 41-year-old man attempted to flee the scene after offering him $2,000 not to call the police.

While speaking with Jay, officers noted that the former Chicago Bears quarterback’s speech was “thick-tongued, slurred and mumbled” and his eyes were “bloodshot,” according to the charging document. Jay – who shares children Camden12, Jaxon10 and Saylor8, with ex-wife Cristina Cavallari– allegedly “had an unbearable odor of alcohol coming from his person”, but denied having consumed any alcohol before admitting that he had drunk “a little bit”.

Recently, Kristin — who was married to Jay from 2013 to 2022 — noted that the former couple’s custody arrangement changed as she discussed her split from her boyfriend. Marcos Estes.

“When I was dating last fall, I was still sharing custody with my ex and I had every other week off from my kids and that changed,” Kristin revealed earlier this month on her channel. The first Laguna Beach Star has also previously spoken out about how her and Jay’s marital problems have affected her health.

“I look at photos from that period and think, ‘Holy shit,’” she said in another episode of Let’s be honest. “I was very thin. I was skin and bones. I looked like shit. I think I’m much better now. And you guys, that was just stress. That was being in a really unhappy marriage.”

Although Jay refused a field sobriety test, the affidavit indicated he later had his blood drawn at Williamson Medical Center.
