Market Drayton suffers four alleged arson fires in one hour

In a Facebook post, the Market Drayton Fire Department said a crew was first called to a fire on Longslow Road, near the elementary school.

Upon returning from this incident, they were taken to a second incident on the same road, where two wheeled bins were found alight, and fire damage was also found in a garden shed.

After this, another incident was reported on nearby Portland Drive, where two trash cans were destroyed by fire. It also damaged a fence, two garages and two vehicles.

Another fire was later reported on Elm Drive, involving dumpsters and a vehicle, and was attended to by a fire crew from Hodnet.

“All of these fires are believed to be linked and started deliberately,” the service said.

“If you have any information, doorbell or CCTV footage that could help with investigations, please call 101 to report it.”
