Set in a post-apocalyptic future, the game’s dark world combines Eastern European brutalism with retro-futuristic technology and a visually stunning and mysterious setting. Players will navigate the wastelands of 1980s Poland as the Traveler, tasked with traveling through time to save key figures from a past apocalypse.

Kronos seems like more than just a spiritual successor to Dead Space however. You must bring your own flair to the genre. The game’s time travel plot, if done right, could end up being really good. As one commenter on Instagram noted: “Close enough. Welcome Dead Space 4.

The cinematic trailer for Chronos: The New Dawn was revealed during the Xbox Partner Preview. It gave fans their first glimpse of the Traveler fighting grotesque enemies in a dystopian future.

The trailer’s eerie atmosphere and retro-futuristic setting immediately drew comparisons to Bioshockwhile the combat shown was compared to Dead Space 4.

The choice of 1980s Poland as the game’s setting is also a point of interest. This suggests that Kronos will explore historical and futuristic themes in its story. The concept of time travel, combined with that of a post-apocalyptic future, is one that audiences love.

This mix of eras, combined with the philosophical undertones hinted at in the game’s premise, suggests that Kronos could explore existential themes about the future of humanity, as well as Bioshock made with his socio-political commentary.

The decision to create an original IP after the success of SH2 Remake speaks to Bloober Team’s growing ambition. Silent Hill 2 It was a remake that stayed true to the source material, but with this new project, the developers are looking to do something unique to them.

Bloober CEO Piotr Babieno noted that the game represents the next step in the team’s creative evolution. It will combine the eerie atmospheres of his previous works with more dynamic, action-oriented gameplay.
