Popular Modern Warfare 3 weapon feature is disappearing in Black Ops 6

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will apparently eliminate one of Modern Warfare 3’s most popular features – Aftermarket Parts. However, players are not sure.

When Modern Warfare 3 released last November and brought aftermarket parts into the mix, Call of Duty fans weren’t sure.

Initially, some of the hardest-to-unlock attachments were “useless,” but that hasn’t changed. You can’t jump into a multiplayer game or Warzone without seeing enemies using the Akimbo shotguns or the JAK Glassless Optic scope on their rifles.

With Black Ops 6 just around the corner, many details about multiplayer and its integration with Warzone have been revealed. However, spare parts are nowhere to be found.

As CoD guru WhosImmortal pointed out, AMPs likely won’t return in the new game. Instead, they will be replaced with more “basic” accessories inspired by Black Ops 4’s Operator Mods.

This was supported by a tweet from Black Ops 6 associate director Matt Scronce.

“We have some fun things planned inspired by the Operator Mods built into Gunsmith and Attachments,” he tweeted in early September.

Some players are worried about aftermarket parts disappearing, as the weekly releases have given them something to unlock.

“I’m not going to lie, I liked the AMP system. Logging in weekly to see what I can unlock was fun,” said one. “I don’t use most of them, but it’s a fun thing to do weekly.”

“I think having the AMPs every week gave us another reason to get into the game in later seasons. Without this, it will be what the Vanguard and the Cold War were like back then,” added another.

There is a hurdle to be faced if weapons from both games intertwine in Warzone if AMPs maintain their power. However, we will have to wait and see.
