Ribbon cutting for Johnstown Recovery Center

The ribbon cutting in honor of helping people in the community recover from alcohol and other drugs took place Friday at Favor Laurel Highlands’ Recovery Community Center in Johnstown.

Cambria Regional Chamber of Commerce officials also presented a plaque detailing the events that began around 2 p.m.

They said the center aims to provide people with a more comfortable space to ask for help.

Jason Rilogio, executive director of Favor Laurel Highlands, said, “We weren’t super swamped, so you know, and on a budget, so we installed the flooring, carpet, paint and drywalled a bunch of stuff, so that’s It.” kind of, I guess, the expansion. Last year it was just the back room. This entire floor opened up this year. That gives us a meeting room setting and a living room model.”
