Wilkinsburg man wanted by police after alleged shooting incident

Pittsburgh, PA – County Police are searching for a Wilkinsburg resident accused of shooting at Pittsburgh Police detectives. The individual in question is 40-year-old Darrell Barham.

On Tuesday around 5:30 a.m., two plainclothes detectives were surveilling Barham at a residence in Penn Hills. Detectives, who were in an unmarked vehicle, noticed Barham’s vehicle following them after they left the area. According to reports, shots were fired from Barham’s vehicle while they were on Hulton Road near Iowa Street.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit has launched an investigation into the incident. During the investigation, detectives confirmed that Barham was driving the vehicle involved in the shooting.

Barham, who stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds, faces charges that include aggravated assault and firearms violations. Currently on federal parole, Barham is considered potentially armed and dangerous.
