Joel Klatt delivers a heartfelt message to QB Jack Tuttle

Michigan quarterback Jack Tuttle’s career came to a sudden end this week when the seventh-year freshman announced he was retiring from the sport due to medical issues.

Tuttle has struggled with injuries during many of his collegiate seasons, including this year when he missed the first five games while battling back from a recovery from a UCL injury, and the quarterback noted in his retirement message that he had five suffered concussions.

In classy fashion, Fox Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt delivered a heartfelt message to Tuttle on his podcast this week: The Joel Klatt Showas we previewed this weekend’s game between Michigan and Oregon. Here’s what Klatt had to say:

“Jack Tuttle was a well-recruited high school quarterback,” Klatt began. “It just goes to show that sometimes it seems like the path doesn’t work out for some of these players who are heavily recruited. Jack Tuttle was one of those people, and he’s had a very frustrating career, and now he’s going to hang it up and medically retire.

“I just gotta say, Jack, I feel for you, man. I wish you all the best in the future, and all the lessons you’ve learned about perseverance and dedication to your craft in college football will benefit you immensely.” downstairs.”

In his retirement letter, Tuttle noted that his passion for football is something he will carry with him and that he plans to take on a coaching role in the future.
