Washington Commanders at New York Giants odds, picks and predictions

The Washington commanders (6-2) and New York Giants (4-3) meet in week 9 Sunday. Kickoff from MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 1:00 PM ET (FOX). Let’s round up the NFL odds from BetMGM Sportsbook Commanders vs. Giants Odds, and become our expert NFL picks and predictions..

The Commanders pulled off a dramatic 18-15 win against the Chicago Bears with a last-second Hail Mary pass from rookie QB Jayden Daniels to WR Noah Brown. The match, considered 1-point home favorites, also went under the total of 46 points. Daniels, who was questionable due to a rib injury, turned in a career-best performance with 326 passing yards and 52 rushing yards. WR Terry McLaurin also shined, catching 5 passes for 125 yards in the win.

The Giants dropped their third straight game on Monday Night Football, losing 26-18 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. They failed to cover the spread as 6-point underdogs, but the game went over the total of 37.5 points. The Giants defense struggled, allowing 426 yards: 259 through the air and 167 on the ground. Despite the loss, rookie RB remained Tyrone Tracy Jr. had a strong performance, rushing 20 times for 145 yards and a touchdown. He was in the concussion protocol this week, but he cleared it and will play.

Commanders at Giants picks and predictions

Prediction

Commanders 20, Giants 13

Moneyline

PASSAGE.

The Giants seem like a wounded animal midway through the season. The Commanders (-210) are ready to end any chance of New York saving their campaign, but I’m assuming the better odds on the spread.

Against the spread

DEPLOYMENT COMMANDERS -4 (-110).

In their Week 2 matchup, the Commanders narrowly defeated the Giants 21–18, a victory that jump-started Washington’s successful season. While the Giants won both games last year, this season seems poised for a turnaround. The Commanders were just -1 favorites in their first meeting but have since earned a 3-point boost as road favorites.

In that first game, Daniels threw for 226 yards but failed to reach the end zone. However, he has blossomed since then, completing 70.6% of his passes with 7 TDs and 2 rushing scores in his last 5 games, averaging 330 passing yards and 48.4 rushing yards (excluding the Carolina game). The Giants will look to apply pressure after sacking Daniels five times in their last meeting, but he has grown in confidence since then. If New York’s offense struggles to stay on the field, Washington’s 6-1-1 ATS record could lead to another win.

Top/Bottom

BET UNDER 44.5 (-110).

Although their first meeting ended with a combined score of 39 points, the total has risen to 44.5. This increase reflects the strength of Washington’s offense, which has scored 34 or more points in four of its last six games. However, the Commanders only managed 18 points last week as Daniels struggled with rib pain. The Giants, on the other hand, have struggled offensively, scoring more than 18 points just twice this season. With the Under in 6 of their 8 matches and 4-1-1 in their last 6 meetings, this match could lean towards low scoring.
