Cop dies by suicide in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: 42-year-old Yadadri traffic police officer Kankuri Ravishanker reportedly died by suicide at his flat in Nalgonda on Saturday.

In the copy of the complaint filed with Nalgonda II police, his mother Venkatamma said that Ravishanker was on leave from October 30. At 3 p.m. he went to the bedroom, saying he was tired and needed to rest, and locked the door.

When he did not come out after several hours, his relatives forcibly opened the door and found his body. She suspected that Ravishankar might have committed suicide due to financial problems.

Nalgonda II Town police have filed a case and initiated investigation.
