A Reddit user shared the incident on Sunday, recounting how the trio – two women and a man – arrived at the Majestic subway station to change to the purple line and how they noticed a tall man giving them disturbing looks.

After boarding the subway, the man followed them, with the women in the women’s compartment and the man in the unisex compartment. Upon arriving at the Cubbon Park subway station, one of the women noticed the stalker looking at them with what were described as “angry” eyes before leaving the station, the user wrote.

Hoping the man was gone, they went to road level, only to find him waiting under a shelter from the rain. He continued to watch them and, as they tried to walk towards a park, the man followed them, increasing the group’s fear. Spotting an auto-rickshaw, they rushed towards it as the man watched them closely. After entering, the man crossed their path, continuing to stare at them. As they tried to take a photo, he put on a mask, obscuring his identity. They then drove to Church Street.

However, they saw the man again outside the MG Road metro station. In search of help, the trio ran to a bookstore and explained the situation to the owner, who tried to confront the stalker, but the man had already disappeared.

‘At home but horrified’

“The three of us are now at home but we are still absolutely horrified by the incident. I know a lot of women go through this, but seriously, what are you supposed to do in a scenario like this? We were so scared that all we thought about doing was backing away. How do you deal with these people who follow you through entire parts of the city?” the user further wrote.

He said the man chased them from 3pm to 7pm at several metro stations.
