How to Fix Silent Switch Not Working on iPhone

However, there is not much you can do if there is visible physical damage to the silent switch. Therefore, we have come up with some alternative options for the silent switch, so that you can quickly mute your device.

How to Disable/Enable Silent Mode without Switch on iPhone

Method 1: Enable Silent Mode from Settings

Step 1: Open it Settings application and press Sound and haptics.

2nd step: You will see a slider for volume control. Swipe it all the way to the left to turn off your iPhone.

Method 2: Use AssistiveTouch

You can use AssistiveTouch to mute or unmute the sound without using the side switch. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch. Turn on the toggle and select Customize the top-level menu. Tap one of the existing buttons to replace it with the Mute/Unmute button and select Mute from the list.

When using AssistiveTouch, you can use the Mute button to mute/unmute your iPhone.

Method 3: Use Back Tap

Back Tap triggers a selected action when you double/triple tap the back of your iPhone. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Press Back. Select Double tap Or Press three timesthen select the Mute option in the list.

When you tap the back of your iPhone two or three times, you can turn off or wake up your iPhone.
