MOORHEAD – Moorhead police arrested Saige Cogger, 19, of Moorhead on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2, after a chase in which two police cars were rammed.

According to a written report from the Moorhead Police Department:

Saturday around 1 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Ninth Street South for a domestic situation.

Officers spoke with a man identified as Cogger, who became uncooperative and argumentative, according to the report, which stated that Cogger eventually backed into a police car before fleeing the scene.

When another officer began the pursuit, Cogger deliberately rammed the pursuing patrol car, according to the report, which added that Cogger eventually returned to the scene of the initial call and was taken into custody.

As of late Saturday afternoon, Cogger was being held at the Clay County Jail pending the filing of multiple charges, the report said.

Following the incident, an officer sought medical attention for pain after the police car the officer was in was struck twice by Cogger’s vehicle.

According to the police report on the incident, two police cars were damaged during the incident.
