ST ELZABETH, Jamaica – Two men caught with guns and ammunition in a vehicle parked in front of a bar along the Main Road Gutters in St. Elizabeth was charged on Friday in connection with the incident.

They are 35-year-old chef Sean Reid, also known as ‘Sogie’, and 30-year-old Ramanno Smile, an electrician, both from Knockpatrick, Manchester.

Reid and Smile are charged with possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

According to reports, police were working in the area around 2pm when Reid and Smile were spotted in a Nissan AD Wagon parked outside a bar.

Police said a search was conducted and a brown bag containing two firearms was found in the console of the vehicle a Beretta 9mm pistol and a Sig Sauer pistol along with a magazine and 21 rounds of ammunition.

Both men were arrested and subsequently charged. Their court dates are being finalized.
