J. Crew reconnects with BEAMS PLUS for a new collection

Following their collaboration in 2022, J. Crew and BEAMS PLUS have come together for a new vision of their co-branded design universe.

This time around, the Harajuku, Japan-based streetwear brand has taken inspiration from J. Crew’s classic preppy style codes to produce a range that “captures the charm and nostalgia of ’50s and ’60s surf culture , inspired by endless summers and wave surfers who are the originators of casual style. As a result, the collection with all sorts of nods to sandy days on the coast.

Among the standout products, the range includes “Old Boy Surf Club” t-shirts, which feature playful wave graphics, and vintage-inspired blazers, which use intricately patterned textiles from decades past. Elsewhere, zipped jackets feature multi-colored stripes down the center; khaki pants and board shorts play on the surf theme with all-over embroidery, and colorful striped tops provide the ideal colorful statement.

Rounding out the lineup, the line includes bright kaleidoscopic belts and location-based corduroy caps, labeled with beach spots like Rhode Island’s Point Judith, Montauk’s turtles and New Jersey’s. Manasquan.
