DJ Lagway comes out of the locker room with crutches and a leg brace after a hamstring injury

DJ Lagway was injured in the second quarter of Florida’s game against No. 2 Georgia, and he was forced to leave the field on the cart.

He’s back on the sidelines for the Gators, but he’s on crutches and wearing a leg brace after suffering a hamstring injury.

Florida coach Billy Napier called it a “significant” hamstring injury in his halftime interview with ABC’s Holly Rowe.

Lagway was the No. 2 quarterback in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, with only Julian Sayin font ahead of him. He split time with Graham Mertz early in the season, but Mertz was lost for the season in the overtime loss at Tennessee.

The Gators started the season very slowly at 1-2, but the team responded by winning three of the last four games. If you look at the schedule, the losses are to Miami, Texas A&M and Tennessee. All three of these teams are currently in the top 10, showing that the Gators are playing very well, with coach Billy Napier under immense pressure.

After Lagway was injured, the Gators turned to Aidan Warner to play the quarterback position. Warner is a redshirt freshman who played just 2 of 3 in Saturday’s game.
