Montgomery man caught having sex with 12-year-old girl in Ozark parking lot, police say

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — A Montgomery man is charged with a plethora of sex crimes after police say he drove more than two hours to have sex with a 12-year-old girl early Wednesday morning .

Osvaldo Jimenez Hernández is charged with four counts of second-degree rape, five counts of second-degree sodomy, five counts of traveling to meet a minor for an illegal sexual act, one count of producing porn with a minor and three counts. of enticing a child for immoral purposes and one count of computer solicitation of children.

According to Ozark Police Deputy Michael Bryan, a patrol officer noticed a car parked in the parking lot of a closed business in Ozark at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday and became suspicious when she attempted to move away.

Bryan tells WDHN that the officer stopped the car and found Hernandez with a twelve-year-old girl, and the officer eventually discovered the two were meeting in the parking lot to have sex.

The deputy chief said an investigation was launched and Hernandez admitted to officers during questioning that he and the girl began talking through social media apps a few months ago and had sex several times in Ozark.

The investigation is ongoing and police say additional victims may be discovered.

Hernandez is being held without bail in the Dale County Jail.
