Dolly Parton feels ‘hurt and shocked’ by Leslie Jordan’s death

Dolly Parton had a “special bond” with Leslie Jordan.

The actor was killed in a car crash in Los Angeles on Monday morning (10/24/22) and Dolly paid a heartfelt tribute to the TV star.

Dolly, 76, said in a statement: “Well, I am as hurt and shocked as if I had lost a family member. Leslie and I had a special bond, I think the world felt that they had a special bond with him.

“I know people always say, ‘Oh, we’ll miss them,’ but in this case it couldn’t be more true. He will be missed by everyone who knew him personally and everyone who was entertained by him. Rest in peace little brother.”

Jordan was starring in the FOX sitcom “Call Me Kat” at the time of his death.

And FOX Entertainment also paid tribute to the late actor, describing Jordan as the “nicest person you could imagine” and the “truest Southern gentleman.”

FOX said in a statement: “We are shocked and devastated by the tragic passing of Leslie Jordan today. Leslie was so much more than an Emmy Award-winning comedic talent we laughed with all these years.

“He was the kindest person imaginable, who simply lit up a room and brought pure joy and huge smiles to millions of people around the world. The truest Southern gentleman, Leslie carried an infectious exuberance, an indelible sense of humor and, throughout his life, gave us countless fond memories that will last forever.

“As we mourn this sad news, we also want to express our deepest sympathies to Leslie’s family, friends and fans, whom he held so dear.”
