NBA Player Props: Best Bets for Pacers vs. Knicks in Game 2 Wednesday

NBA Player Props: Best Bets for Pacers vs. Knicks in Game 2 Wednesday

The second game between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks in the second round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs will take place on Wednesday, with the home team holding a 1-0 lead looking to go up 2-0 in the series. The Pacers will look to replicate their offensive efforts from Game 1 while getting more production from Tyrese Haliburton, while the Knicks will try to rediscover their defensive prowess from Round 1.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite player bets to target for Game 2 on Wednesday, with odds provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.

Josh Hart over 29.5 points + rebounds (-108)

If Hart has to play the entire game, his stat line will always be a little inflated. The Villanova connection worked well for the Knicks and injuries to key players allowed Hart to play a bigger role. He’s a threat on the boards and his three-point shooting took a leap forward during the playoffs, allowing him to produce at a high level. He’s averaging 17.9 points and 12.4 rebounds per game during the playoffs, so he should be able to cross that line as long as he doesn’t get into foul trouble.

Tyrese Haliburton on 2.5 3-pointers (-135)

I don’t think the Pacers star was as passive in Game 2 as he was in Game 1. He hit two triples for his only points of the game on five attempts, and he generally shot the ball well from the perimeter outside of a few major stinkers. Haliburton struggled from the perimeter in the final third of the regular season, but he shot over 40 percent from three-point range in every season before this one. At some point he’s going to start pulling off these shots at a much better clip. I think he surpasses that mark tonight.

Obi Toppin more than 9.5 points (-112)

Toppin quietly crossed that line in the playoffs. He may have really emerged into Indiana’s rotation in Game 6 against the Bucks, but he’s averaged 14.6 points per game over the final five playoff games. Playing in his old arena against his old franchise surely motivates Toppin, who should continue to see enough minutes in the Pacers’ rotation to cross that line on Wednesday.

Isaiah Hartenstein under 9.5 rebounds (+100)

There is tremendous value here due to Hart’s rebounding prowess, as noted above. Hartenstein will face more with Mitchell Robinson sidelined, but he actually hasn’t had to do much on the glass thanks to the Knicks’ supporting cast being more aggressive there. The big man went below that line in every game of the playoffs, recording just six rebounds in the series opener. I think he continues to be a productive player but stays below that line in game two.
