Gervonta Davis confirms Frank Martin once grabbed him during a fight

The next fight on June 15 between Gervonta Davis And Frank Martin is widely considered one-sided. However, “Tank”, primarily seen as someone who can rarely be defeated, ran into trouble when he fought his next opponent. Could this be a cause for concern?

With just over a month remaining in his fight against the “Ghost”, Davis kicked off promotions for the fight. Their first press conference, on May 4, proceeded with enough drama to last until fight night. With Tank referencing Martin’s girlfriend and even interrupting his interview leading to fistfights, it was a pretty eventful day. The same day, during another media interaction, Tank pointed out that the fight would not be as easy as most think for him. After all, if Martin could confuse him in a training session, why can’t he do the same on fight night?

Tank noted on the Million Dollar Worth of Game podcast, “You caught me once.” He further noted, “I’ve fought before; he was afraid to train. I jumped on him. He’s a left-hander. He threw the brick hand. Boom! That’s what got me. However, he did not let this incident influence his chances of winning on June 15. He announced : “It wasn’t like, boom and…Hell no. Everyone here knows, if I get hit, I take it out on that a**.

Although it’s unclear when this training session took place, it’s certain that Tank remembers every moment of it. Although he was briefly caught during the said training session, chances are he will recover quickly.

This may be the same fight video that Martin alluded to earlier during a media interaction. Martin revealed that Tank asked him to show him video of “a few” fights, but ultimately didn’t show the full clip. Martin said, “Dude, it’s sparring. We are fighting on June 15, I don’t even want to continue talking about sparring. He was going to show me the video, he won’t show it. He showed a certain part and then they were shown and all that, but that’s nothing he showed.

“We’re fighting now, so the sparring thing, we can go ahead, sweep that under the rug and when we fight on June 15, it’s gone,” » added Frank Martin. Despite being the favorite, WBA Regular lightweight champion Gervonta Davis cannot afford to overlook her opponent. Frank Martin boasts an impressive undefeated record of 18-0, with 12 of those victories coming via knockout.

While remaining confident in his victory, Tank was kind enough to give Frank Martin some important advice.

Don’t follow Ryan Garcia’s path, advises Gervonta Davis

Before his fight against Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia showed the world that he was a regular drinker, with parties that lasted for days. However, when the fight came, he proved those who thought his habits would cause him to lose big. He won by knockout. Martin, who was seen earlier partying with Garcia, doesn’t have that ability, Tank noted.

In the same conversation, the Baltimore-based fighter advised his 29-year-old opponent: “You’ve been with Ryan (Garcia)… you’ve been drinking, you’ve been out partying with him. Do you have the skills to party and miss (workout)?! You don’t have the skills to do it. You started (boxing) when you were 15. If I started at 15…I would practice all day. You trash! »
