FVCC graduates ready for the future

On May 10, Flathead Valley Community College will celebrate and honor the Class of 2024 during our 56th Commencement. We are proud and recognize the accomplishments, dedication and perseverance of these students. At FVCC, we see every day how the power of education transforms lives.

During their time at FVCC, this year’s graduates gained knowledge, skills and experience that prepared them not only for a career, but for a lifetime of lifelong learning.

Today we celebrate the many paths our graduates have taken. Everyone testifies to the wealth of opportunities offered to everyone at FVCC.

Graduate Livia Jackola’s ties to FVCC began with her grandfather who served on the FVCC board of directors in the 1980s. When she decided to pursue a career in nursing, she knew exactly where to start . Livia is graduating with honors and has already accepted a position in the immediate care unit at Logan Health.

Small business owner Derek Connor came to FVCC to accelerate his learning in graphic design so he could grow his video and photography business, Skysquatch Productions. He will graduate with honors and a bountiful portfolio to help him continue to grow his business.

Abbie Brevig grew up in Dillon watching her father run his own electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing business. Abbie, like many of our students, has managed to juggle her university studies and her job. She landed a job at a local HVAC company while earning her technical school certificate.

While saluting the accomplishments of our students, we also recognize the invaluable contributions of the FVCC Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and families who have supported these graduates every step of the way. Their guidance, encouragement, and unwavering belief in each student’s potential have been instrumental in shaping tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

We wish our graduates the best of luck as they begin their next chapter in life, taking with them the lessons learned, friendships made, and dreams sparked at FVCC. Their journey has only just begun and we know that whatever path they choose, their FVCC training will provide a solid foundation.

Congratulations, Class of 2024. Your accomplishments inspire us all and we can’t wait to see the impact you have on the world.
