Teen shot dead near officer involved shooting in Flint

Genesee County, Mich. (WNEM) – MSP confirms a 17-year-old man was shot and killed in Flint Saturday evening.

That happened on Saturday around 6:30 PM.

State Police say troopers assigned to the Flint Post were patrolling the area of Essex St. and Pasadena Ave. and confronted an armed man.

MSP says the man ran and was shot.

A loaded handgun was found at the scene.

The soldiers have been placed on administrative leave and an investigation is underway.
